THE COURAGE TO SING school offers a holistic approach to learning to sing that combines the traditional performing arts techniques used in stage and music schools for actors, performers and instrumentalists with psychology (emotional recovery, use of dreams, visualisation and affirmations); and the Healing Arts (meditation, yoga, and Chinese Martial Arts).
In these Workshop Leader Training courses,Lorrayn de Peyerwill introduce techniques she has developed and show you how to facilitate, inspire and support others to evolve as human beings using these mind, body, spirit and emotions techniques.
We will cover aspects of the following:
· How deliver a grounded workshop
· The format a good workshop
· How to work on a deep level with your clients
· Suggestions and ideas about kind of material works and what does not
· How to teach singing exercises and songs with or without needing a piano or accompanist (you do not need to read music or play an instrument to benefit from this method)
· How to teach breathing for singers
· How to help your clients pitch and sing in tune
· Performance coaching techniques for group and solo singing classes
· How to hold the energy of a group
· How to emotionally support and empower your clients
· Techniques to help clear blocks and which improve self-confidence
· The use of visualisation and affirmations as techniques to help learning
· The use of sustainable, personal energy as you lead the workshop
· Lots of experiential exercises and songs you can use for your own teaching
During the workshop we will be working on your development as a facilitator and it is suggested you bring material and come prepared to teach the group a song and singing exercises as if you were teaching a class.
There will also be an opportunity for people to perform a song as a singer during our singing supper on the Saturday evening. This is completely optionally and not required as part of the workshop.
